Cranford Kitchen Expansion
By removing the dining room wall and borrowing some space from the garage, this kitchen opened up nicely. The trimmed openings were made larger and aligned for better flow. It also allowed for a cozy dining area, and a eat-in counter space which gives a few options for entertaining and small family gatherings alike.

Full gut renovation of an existing kitchen. Frame new subfloor into existing garage for new built-in cabinetry. Reframe openings into adjacent rooms to enlarge and align. Remove existing windows. Reframe exterior wall and install new window to align with center of the sink. Patch vinyl siding. Install new plumbing, install new electric throughout.
This project scope also included a half bathroom gut renovation.
Budget: $105,000.00
The overall cost of the project was just over $100k. There were some surprises, as there always are, which accounted for roughly 10% of this overall cost. There were also some upgrades that were selected and additional scope added, as there always is. This accounted for another 8%. Here is a breakdown of some of the high cost items:
